Success Story: Valve Assembly

02/10/26

The customer is a manufacturer of electric and propane powered foggers for residential use. By converting the existing valve assembly from screw machine parts to zinc die castings, Miniature Casting Corporation realized substantial cost savings for the customer. The parts were re-designed to take advantage of the die casting process. Exterior threads were added to the part design, the overall material usage was reduced by thinning out walls and removing unnecessary material. As a result, Miniature Casting was able to offer a reduction of production cost with the switch to zinc die casting, a reduction of overall mass of thepiece, realizing substantial savings on shipping costs, and reduced cost for value added services by designing the outside threads of the valve into the casting.
